Today, the global digital Agency wunderman has announced the appointment of Santo Helder as President of its flagship new York office. Santo makes the move from R/GA, where he recently held the position of Vice President, managing Director.
Santo will lead the strategic vision and overall direction, reporting to Seth Solomons, North America CEO. Santo has over 15 years experience in the industry, he held senior positions with digitas and mcgarrybowen. At R/GA, he oversaw a diverse portfolio of clients, including Samsung, equinox, Johnson & Johnson, Mercedes-Benz and shopify.
“Elder is a force of nature, he strongly advocated for the talent and achieving results for clients,” Solomon said in a statement. “He again and again proves that he can think not only of the assignment to deliver what customers need, and we are confident that his leadership will take our business to the next level. I am very pleased that he will bring his passion and energy to Wunderman”.
Santo said he is delighted with the opportunity to identify and develop what the industry really needs.
“Wunderman was a fantastic man and a very solid offering that is rooted in the overcoming of creativity, data and technology,” said Santo. “Customers can get great value, and I’m glad to have a role in shaping the ambitions of Wunderman new York for the future.”
Some of the recent endeavors of Wunderman include the creation of Wunderman inside, which aims to bring concepts to customers more quickly and cheaply, and share with the charity the child’s attention, allowing you to draw attention to missing children in Belgium.
Santo replaces former President Jamie Gallo, who had held the position in 2014, and will start in an official capacity on June 18.
