You would be more productive if you knew that there are 5000 living plants around you…on the 41st floor of a skyscraper in Manhattan?
That’s what salesforce is hoping as it prepares to open the street, information centre, top floor of Ohana “family room” and two more floors your salesforce tower in the area of Bryant Park in new York.
“We believe this is the best lounge in the world,” said Elizabeth Pinkham, Executive Vice President of global real estate at San Francisco-based cloud computing and 18 years, salesforce veteran who ran the company for successful business events, including Dreamforce programs for 15 years, as she gave Adweek a first look at the construction of the tower apex. Ohana means family in Hawaiian, is a term often used by CEO Marc Benioff to describe the global salesforce team and their clients.
“The office in new York began 15 years ago with eight people,” said Pinkham, who said that putting everyone under one roof “to create a single sales Department.” The company occupies about 20 percent of the building.
In early may, salesforce plans to open its trails, the sixth Avenue entrance, which goes through the client salesforce experience success. Cody trailhead talismans and appendicitis to welcome you to the memories of a national Park, its walls lined with living plants. New York is the largest market salesforce. Company need here is great and the selection 1095 Avenue of the Americas, near Bryant Park, fits into one of the real obligations of a real estate agent. “One of the covenants is to be closer to nature,” said Pinkham.
For 1200, salesforce employees are now working in the tower on floors 17 and 18 in the common room, in the ranks of sit-stand desks, on top of the grey, brown and green carpet squares that are made from recycled fishing nets and is intended to simulate the trail. The company builds floors 19 and 20 for posting in the next month. On the 23rd floor, there will be an innovative centre, an auditorium with a Seating area. On each floor there is a room to recharge.
For Ohana floor, Pinkham consultation with Burberry for aesthetic design, and then hired a group of Wiseman, which specializiruetsya for high-quality homes, interior design. During our tour, the paper cutouts on the floor marked where the common tables, lush sofas, a Barista bar and a Grand piano will sit, all of which have panoramic views of Manhattan and beyond. In each column, supporting the lining on the perimeter, live plants to bring outside. The layout we saw was at least the fifth version of what will eventually grow.
All members of the salesforce are welcome. “It’s a way to democratize the sun,” said Pinkham. Non-profit partner of salesforce will be able to use the space in the evenings and on weekends.
Unlike other dynamic digital companies, built in the late 20th century, salesforce does not have a cafe that can cajole employees to not stray too far from your workplace. “We encourage our employees to go out for lunch and support local businesses,” said Pinkham. After all, snacks are in abundance.
Completed in 1974, the building was home to new York Telephone, bell Atlantic and, most recently, “MetLife”. Because MetLife his name emblazoned on the top, signage salesforce installed.
Salesforce tower in new York connects tower in San Francisco, London and Indianapolis. “And if I had to guess, I’m sure there are more,” said Pinkham. “It is an expression of who we are”.
