If you think that only your skill is enough to land you the job of your dreams, think again.

After training tens of thousands of professionals around the world, I would argue that you must also confident to put forward a positive image of yourself to a prospective employer from the moment you enter the interview room.

Don’t just take it from me. Researchers from Princeton University report that people make judgments about important qualities like competence, responsibility and loyalty to another person for a few seconds.

Imagine that. As you walk in the door. Your pose is. Your expression. Your handshake. Each of these silent moments to influence the decision of the employer. And a separate study, this one from Cornell University, shows that the impact made a first impression can last from one to six months – regardless of what you subsequently say.

Knowing that the first impression you make before you say even one word has serious consequences, it is imperative that you take responsibility for your appearance and behavior leading up to your interview.

But many of us don’t know about the negative of signals that can be sent. I once worked with a sales Manager from a major multinational company in the beverage industry. In the introductory lectures of our session, she looked at me with a scowl on her face. I imagined that it is resistant or even hostile in relation to the methodology I shared. Imagine my surprise then when I asked her to participate in the process of the presentation, and she eagerly jumped at the opportunity. This for me seemed the opposite emotions from what I picked up in her expression.

During a break I asked her what she thought she was “resting” face. She replied that she had no idea. When I described what I saw, she expressed honest concern. She said that no one ever had the nerve to tell her earlier. From this moment forward, she took responsibility for her non-verbal communication. I helped her develop intentional expressions and other body language to outwardly demonstrate the enthusiasm that she felt inside.

This is good news, I look forward to sharing with you. You can improve both heat and attract you perceive through proper training.

For this episode, I focus on my first impressions. I’ll show you what colors work best wear as you have to enter the room, how you sit, and Yes, I even demonstrate how to give a proper handshake. Because there is a proper way.

Your body language can instantly make you appear more or less attractive to that prospective employer. For example, if You are vigilant and focused, You can’t understand what you’ve picked up the cuticles within ten seconds or that nod, then the interviewer said that never stops. But I’m betting notes of the interview.

So, take three minutes and click on the video link, to bring your appearance and body language. To the work you love.
