These 2 Agency Creatives has created a line of honest, funny Mother’s Day card

Let’s face the truth, Mother’s Day comes with a lot of nonsense—and these ridiculous slogans, of course, does not help.

So L. A. Taylor black copywriter and art Director Claire Jensen decided to create their own, freeing up extra holiday stuff pack of cards for mother’s Day, which tends to be blunt and honest.

“Claire and I talked about what we do for our moms for Mother’s Day and had a feeling that there is nothing—no gift or card is captured with true, honest feelings that we are truly grateful and love our mom,” black told Adweek. “That’s when we had the idea to just make our own maps. Cards that were honest, full of personality and was able to break through the bullshit—because let’s be honest, no lying to mom.”

The creative Duo started working on the project about a month ago, when they realized that they don’t have any cards or gifts planned for Mother’s Day. They explained that the mother (of the Agency, that is) is very supportive of creative projects and encourage them to take on such tasks in free time between client work.

“In this project, there were only two close friends, working together to do what they want, pure and simple,” black said, explaining the difference between a side project and client tasks. “There is also no HR Department for personal projects completely changes the game, as I think, you see.”

The collection includes nine cards with the kind of blunt honesty in motherhood, You will not find in stores. They range from the straight-to-the-point “Thank you for making me the skull from the vagina,” and “Thanks for pulling me out of daddy’s balls” to apologize for the stretch marks, dilute the liqueur to highlight the line and bites the nipple, to pay homage to mom’s sandwich skills.

Website visitors can choose to print, download or email each card page, which also contains brief reviews of humorous and creative credits.

“Look, mom should be celebrated much more than just one day of the year, no doubt. But we’re definitely not mad that there is another day for us to stop and appreciate the woman who brought us in this world,” said Jensen. “We just feel that if we’re going to declare this and to do something for mom on this day, do it with honesty and personality is what it is most appreciated.”

“Honest tone is the most significant tone,” black added.

Their moms really value your opinion.

“Both our mums love a little (thoughtful) so the combo of nine unique maps, all of them inspire us, and their pictures on the ‘about’ page gave the recipe for Mother’s Day, gold,” black said.

And Yes, both their mothers will receive at least one of these cards for Mother’s Day.

The project has generated positive feedback in a broader sense as well, so that Jensen and black consider creating cards for other occasions as well.
