State ownership in the LCA has now extended the offer of free cash to their customers until the beginning of October.

The move comes as customers have reported problems trying to register online for a windfall.

However, LCA denied that’s his problem.

Insurers with the health insurance company was warned earlier this week they were only a few days to claim the cash, which could cost up to €150 per family.

The deadline was August 31, but he has already extended to 1 October.

The insurer pays 50 euros per adult policy participants who Register on the site and select to pay by direct debit. Another €50 will be given to those who go to paperless for their health insurance.

Expert in health insurance Dermot Goode of consumers said that would be well advised to demand money. VMI insisted that the offer is a lump sum and those who do not register on time will be missed.

Mr. Goode, of TotalHealthCover.t. E., said: “for families, free money can cost up to €150 for those young people on their policies, the amount may be even higher.”

He said that about half of the clients of DMS either do not know about the proposal or do not understand, the deadline is fast approaching. “We are dealing with policies DMS every day, and we believe that the majority are not registered on this proposal, so we’re trying to do this message there,” he said.

“This is a one-time offer, and, in fact, free money.”

Mr Goode said the LCA was trying to entice members to pay their premium by direct debit and go for paperless communication that will help to reduce costs of the company.

Known as online advantage of LCA customers can avail the offer if they prefer to pay their premiums by direct debit. It costs €50.

If they move to a “paperless” for all documents in the DMS will have to pay an additional 50 euros for each adult insured under the policy in addition to the direct debit reward.
