De Crowley, Executive Director of the Bank hand Ireland, UK, to retire next year.

Mr. Crowley, who has spent over 30 years working in the Bank, was appointed General Director of the Bank of Ireland UK in 2012. Prior to this appointment he held the position of General Manager of retail banking in Ireland.

Previously Chairman of post office financial services, Mr. Crowley is the Director of the first services, exchange rate, foreign exchange, a joint venture between the Bank of Ireland, the UK and the UK post office.

He is also a Director of new Ireland Assurance.

Prior to retirement in the next year, Mr. Crowley will continue in his role as a member of the Executive Committee of the group plays a leading role in the implementation of the strategic program of the Bank in the UK.

Recruitment for his replacement will begin immediately.

As of may of this year, Bank of Ireland UK balance of £23 billion (€26.18 billion) and about 2.2 million customers.

It trades mainly in consumer markets, such as deposits, mortgage loans, debit cards, currency exchange and credit cards. It provides banking services on the network of post offices in the UK.

A number of other leaders recently left the Bank, including the now former Director of retail Ireland Liam McLoughlin.
