Claas set a new world record for the number of silage mown at eight o’clock in Colorado in the United States.

The record was set with a CLAAS Disco mower 1100 RC unit, and during this time the machine just mowed 141.1 hectares of Lucerne with a roller conditioner, and the average yield of 5.24 tons of dry matter per hectare.

The previous world record was surpassed in more than 40 hectares.

On July 1, after noon, Tate Mesbergen of Mesbergen farms about creating a new world record in the combination of the Axion 800 tractor and Disco-1100 machine lawn mower Roux.

At eight o’clock, he got out of the cab of his tractor, as a new world record. Group support and impartial witnesses who can confirm that Tate mowed a total of 141.1 hectares in four different areas.

With a maximum speed of 30 km/h and above 50 km/h from field to field, he mowed an incredible average of 17.6 hectares/hour.

“Not all fields were close to each other, so it was a real challenge to quickly fold the pieces of the mower for transport and to hurry along the roads,” he said.

The storm

The day before the assassination, there was a thunderstorm with heavy rains 12.7 millimeters of precipitation.

This meant that mineral wealth, in particular, in the first field was much wetter than usual.

The start was delayed a few hours, and during its record attempt, Tate also made two unscheduled stops. The first between the first and second field.

“I hit a piece of concrete on the first field and had to make sure that the machine mower was damaged,” said Tate.

A quick inspection showed that no harm was done. Not one blade had to be replaced.

A second break went to check that the power mower Disco was properly folded before it was transported by road to the last field.

The previous world record was set on the grass, not alfalfa, and lawn mower without conditioner used.

Disco-1100 RC has air conditioning with two V-shaped interlocking polyurethane rollers which squeeze the hard stalks while preserving the precious leaves.

This reduces the required aging time and ensures maximum feeding value, because the leaves remain.

Air conditioning consumption increased input power, but that doesn’t stop Tate.

During his attempts, Tate mowed 5.24 tons of dry matter per hectare. Klaas will now be sending the necessary documents to Guinness, so the world record can be officially confirmed.
