All factories lamb quotes returned 10-15C/kg this week, with ewes and back 10C/kg on some plants.

Continued price pull last weekend, lamb prices were 5-10C/kg less than the previous week – down to the numbers.

While we’re not exactly in the ‘site ewenami’, large numbers on both the factory gates and on display tells its own story. And to be fair to the plants when the opportunity presents itself to squeeze a few pounds out of the system, what else needs to happen?

The prices in our table below, a week from €4.80+10C/kg quality assurance bonus (approx) in Kildare cooling to €4.70/kg in Ballyhaunis dawn.

Kildare continue to lead the table on €4.80+10C/kg OK, then Kepak Athleague, which yesterday cut their lamb price of 15C/kg to €4.75+5C/kg OK.

The following two ICM plants as which are falling back to 10C/kg to €4.70+10C/kg OK, Ballyhaunis bottom of the table at €4.70/kg after also lowers the costs of mutton at 10 cents/kg.
