“It’s been a busy and successful few months for paddy power, Betfair,” Peter Jackson, CEO of paddy power, Betfair, said.

“We have made significant progress against our strategic priorities and trade in quarter 2 was good with all the brands and production units, contributing to the group’s double-digit revenue growth.”

In the groups of the second quarter, revenue from the online bets has been 13pc.

In Australia sales increased by 19pc in the second quarter, despite the fact that Mr. Jackson described as “significant upcoming tax obstacles.”

Meanwhile, in the US, the group showed an increase of revenue by 20pc in the second quarter.

The group said it welcomes the decision of the British government to reduce the stakes on fixed odds betting terminals (“FOBTs”), he believes that the negative attitude towards these machines were “undermined”.

Looking forward the group said that second half of the year began “in line with expectations”.

Paddy Power Betfair expects that underlying EBITDA will amount to between £460m and £480m, before the influence of the United States sports betting. He said it reflected the recent trading momentum, with better-than-expected performance in games and a strong conclusion to the world Cup, which was offset by a slowdown in the exchange of horse racing revenue, and the impact of additional Australian tax and product fee increases, and the inclusion of daily fantasy sports FanDuel operations.

Last week FanDuel, a branch of paddy power for the Betfair signed an agreement with Boyd gaming to operate in the US sports betting and online casino markets, as the group continues its expansion in the United States.

The extension comes amid the U.S. Supreme Court decision which earlier this year overturned a Federal law that limited sports betting has existed since 1992. The decision allows individual States to pass their sports betting laws.
