In 2017 sustainable energy autonomy of Ireland (close) tried and tested scheme for dairy farmers, which offer grant support to upgrade the vacuum and milk pumps.

Because of its success, the scheme was recently renewed again in 2018.

The grant is aimed at reducing the costs of one of the largest consumers of energy on farms the milking parlor.

Technology

Are you eligible for the scheme?

The scheme is open to all dairy farmers who supply all the major cooperatives. All sizes are covered with a herd, and single and three phase electricity is eligible.

Considered, applicants must:

  • There are several vendors and is currently engaged in the production of milk, and
  • To be registered in the Ministry of agriculture, food and the marine under the beef framework to eliminate tuberculosis as the owner of the flock or herd Keeper or be a holder of another Department identifier.

How to apply

Submit the following to ruin:

  • Completed Energy Efficiency Dairy Application For A Grant
  • Completed certification 2017 form of the milk Supply
  • Evidence of a herd number on a copy of the letter/correspondence issued by the Department of agriculture, food and the marine (DAFM)

All documents must be submitted in electronic form to photo or Scanned images into info@seai.ie . This signatures are acceptable.

Applicants are encouraged to obtain quotes from at least three suppliers to ensure that they get value for money.
