Internally, Facebook has announced a major reorganization this week, creating three groups and the displacement of several key executives in new roles with new responsibilities.
Three new group-a family of applications, new platforms and infrastructure as well as basic products and services. Description of the groups and key Executive movements outlined below:
The family consists of the flagship mobile application, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and whatsapp.
The group is headed by Director of product Chris Cox.
Vice President of product management will Cathcart will lead all product for the flagship mobile application for Facebook.
