David O’connor said that his family owns Bengurragh 1928 and he lives there all his life.


House Bengurragh, residence time

While the house, built in 1700-ies, it was burned down during the troubles in 1921, rebuilt in 1927 and was purchased by great uncle David in 1928. David’s father purchased the property in 1957 and has trained a number of successful race horses there in the 1960-ies.

The farmhouse is set in an elegant old home that was rebuilt after the fire. It’s two floors in the basement, extending to 3050 square feet on two floors. The basement was not designed and only available outside.

The rest of the house is nicely proportioned and includes entrance porch, double corridors, three bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and five bedrooms, bathroom and storeroom on the ground floor. The house needs renovation but is structurally very sound.

In addition to the main residence, there are two houses on the property. Two-storey outbuilding has been renovated recently and lived recently. The house has a living room, kitchen and toilet on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor.
