Italian UniCredit stopped using Facebook in advertising and marketing campaigns and won’t do it again until American giant improves its ethical standards, the Bank’s General Manager said Tuesday.

“Facebook Is not ethical behavior, the way… we won’t use it until it has the proper ethical conduct,” Jean-Pierre Mustier said in a conference call with analysts on Tuesday.

Asked whether the decision was connected with the scandal related to political consulting Cambridge Analytics Mustier said Yes.

He said that Facebook is already guaranteed not to use user data, but made it in the end.

Facebook has faced the scrutiny of the entire row data breach involving Cambridge analyst who was seen by millions of users in the data correctly addressed.

The scandal prompted several official investigations in the United States and Europe.

UniCredit said that the decision to stop using Facebook for their business activities was adopted in late March.
