This week, Adrian sits down for an exclusive chat with Ryan Smith, the charismatic founder of the Utah €2 billion software firm qualtrics.

As well as being one of the fastest growing technology companies in the world, Smith is on a mission to battle cancer. He started his company when he dropped out of College to care for his father, who was diagnosed with cancer.

While his father survived, head qualtrics Irishman Dermot Costello died earlier this year from cancer. (Costello, a huge presence in the Irish it industry, said in a written interview with Adrian in January, when he was just a couple of days. You can read it in full here

Smith talks about the importance of speaking to him personally and qualtrics, and explains why the company called its new headquarters in Dublin after Costello.

He also talks about his zeal for 5 For the fight campaign $50 million he created to fight cancer through research and how the Irish Chapter has already collected nearly 200,000 euros less than a year.

Smith also speaks of the “underbelly” of the tech boom, which comes in the form of rising rents and real estate prices.
