What is the most important lesson about money his career as a chef has taught you?

You should always strive to work that you enjoy. It can take years to be experienced enough to earn enough money for you to do things outside of work that You enjoy, so why not enjoy it?

What is the most expensive place you have ever visited?

I stayed at the All inclusive five star resort in Mexico a few years ago. Paying for it was the most expensive part, but once we got there, it was relatively cheap to visit the sites and walk to restaurants.

What’s the best advice you ever had about money?

You can’t take it with You to the end, so make sure to spend part of it to do things that you will remember. If you work hard then you must make sure to have fun now and then.

In addition to real estate that the most expensive thing you ever bought?

Dishes that I had in two star Michelin restaurant in Amsterdam. I took someone’s birthday. After many tastings, wine and champagne, the bill was very expensive.

What was your worst job?

I haven’t worked any jobs that I really didn’t like. I’ll help you cook dinner for 850 people, although that was a nightmare, not what I want to do it again.

What was your biggest financial mistake?

I’m very careful with money. Although, when I was in my first year in College, I had to work full time to pay rent and earn money to live, and found that it was a brutal struggle. For a year I couldn’t even afford to ride the bus to work, so I have to go home through the city every night. After this year, I vowed that I would never be in that situation.

What was your best financial murder?

I have a few small investments that have seen a return, but other than that, usually in Cheltenham. This is usually the only time I bet, but I get good advice from friends several months in advance.

If you won the euromillions what would you do with the money?

I’d invested a lot and share the rest of my family. I would probably also buy a farm and build a house on it.

If you could create your own Euro note, what image would you put on it?

Something to symbolize like a terrible idea, quarter, and month was.

Which is the last thing you bought online?

Sharpening stone for sharpening my knife.

You ever done insurance?

No, I never had luckily.

Would you buy property now?

Probably not. Aside from people who claim that renting is “dead money” or finding property, I don’t want to be tied to one specific place, but not now. Renting gives you freedom to move. I would only buy property if I had children, which is still far away.

Did you ever bargain?

I did when I was in Marrakech, but also because it is a cultural thing. Except that I always pay what I consider fair and not a price issue.

What are the three things you couldn’t do without if you were to tighten their belts?

Ate in good restaurants. The new blades. Champagne.
